


YOUNGSTOWN – Francis L. Ware Jr., 86, of the city’s west side, passed away unexpectedly early Saturday evening, Nov. 24, 2012, at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown.
Francis was born Aug. 30, 1926, in Struthers, a son of the late Francis L. Sr. and Helen DeHass Ware, and was a lifelong area resident.
He was a graduate of South High School and served in the U.S. Army for nearly two years at the end of World War II.
Mr. Ware attended Warren Business College, and worked for 34 years as a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service, retiring in January of 1986.
He was a member of Holy Name of Jesus Church in Youngstown, where he was an altar server.
Francis was a longtime member of Catholic War Veterans John J. Buckley Post No. 1292, serving as post commander in 1996 and 1997, and was a former 2nd vice commander and treasurer at the post.
He was also a member of the Catholic War Veterans of Ohio, where he served as 2nd vice commander. He was a member of Letter Carrier Union Branch No. 385, was a member of the United Veterans Council, and was a member of the Knight of Columbus, Msgr. Mears Council.
His wife, Mary Frances Lucas Ware, whom he married April 1, 1948, passed away July 9, 1995.
Mr. Ware leaves a son, Chuck (Barbara) Ware of Struthers; three daughters, Andrea Ware of Youngstown, Janet (Eugene) Swerdan of Youngstown, and Diane Ware of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a great-great-granddaughter; and a sister, June Hill of Boardman.
Francis will be truly and sadly missed by all who loved him.
Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by a son, Francis L. Ware III, who died in 1970 in Vietnam; a brother, Edward Ware; and his stepmother, Anna Ware.
Family and friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 28, at Kinnick Funeral Home, 477 N. Meridian Road, Youngstown.
Funeral services will begin on Thursday at noon at the funeral home, and continue with a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:30 p.m. at Holy Name of Jesus Church.
Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, where Francis will be laid to rest next to his wife.

John Junior Ware, 67, of Akron, shortly after receiving the Lord, went to join his Savior after a short illness on December 29, 2008.
John was born July 18, 1941 in Murphy, North Carolina. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He was a very witty person and was always quick with a comeback. John had many interests, including playing cards, camping, horse-shoes, and Ford trucks. He retired from S.A. Communale Co. after over five years of service.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Vadine; first wife, Barb; son, Jeff; and brothers, Dave and Warren. He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Beverly; children, Shirley Ware, Tim Mollohan (Nancy), John Ware, and Juanita Witte (Michael); brother, Edward Hackler (JoAnn); and grandchildren, Ada-Anne, Cheyanne, Adam, Autum, Mackenzie, and Somer.
Visitation will be Saturday from 2 to 4 p.m. followed by a funeral service officiated by Pastor Chuck Marshall. In lieu of flowers, donations in John’s honor may be made to any FirstMerit Bank.

WARE, RICHARD A. Jr. Of Hamilton passed away on November 10, 2009 at Fort Hamilton Hospital due to a heart condition. He is survived by his mother Lois G. Ware, brothers William (Kim), Jeff (Pepper), Kelly (Rhonda), Herbert (Brenda), Joseph Ware and sister Marilyn, also beloved nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Richard A. Ware, Sr., sister Kimberly A. Ware, and niece Christine Metcalf. He was a dedicated family man and enjoyed the outdoors. Thoughts and prayers are extended to Richard’s family and friends. A private ceremony was held by Herbert Ware on Saturday November 21, 2009.

PALM BAY, Fla. Dennis P. Ware, 64, of Palm Bay, died Feb. 19 at his home in Palm Bay.
He was born March 11, 1942 in Norwalk, Ohio to the late Donald Proctor Ware and Rose Marie Spaar Ware.
He was a retired Air Force Master Sergeant, worked for the FAA for 12 years as a teacher in Oklahoma City and an Aviation Flight Standards inspector in Miami. He was also a self-employed aviation consultant.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Cathie; daughters and son-in-law, Jayne Cunningham of Homestead and Jacqueline and Rick Callinan of Palm Bay; sons and daughter-in-law, Gary Ware of Oklahoma City, Okla. and Anthony Bruce and Paige of Norman, Okla.; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ron and Pat Ware, Doug and Barb Ware and Chuck and Alene Ware; a sister and brother-in-law, Sandy and Jim Springer; six grandchildren, one granddaughter and one great-granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by his daughters, Eliza0beth and Christine; and a niece, Debora Lynn Babbitt.
A Funeral Mass was held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, 300 Malabar Road SE, Palm Bay.

The Akins Funeral Home of Blue Ridge, Ga., announces the death of Clyde Burton Ware, 83, of Mineral Bluff, who passed away Sunday, Sept. 9, at the Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga.
Born in Fannin County, he was the son of the late Thomas Jehau Ware and Ida Cole Ware. He was retired from R.C.A. Rubber as a painter, and had served as jailer for the City of Blue Ridge. He was a member of Mt. Gilead Baptist Church, and member of Mineral Bluff Lodge, and was a past president of the United Rubber Workers Local 8 in Akron. He was a World War II veteran, serving in the United States Army.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Ann Mitchell Ware of the home; sons, Leonard Ware and Glenn Ware, both of Akron, Carl Ware of Riverdale, Ga., Cleaston Ware and Tommy Ware, both of Mineral Bluff, Chuck Ware of Canton, and Rick Ware of Mineral Bluff; daughter, Brenda Scearce of Mineral Bluff; sisters, Myrtle Thomas of Mineral Bluff, Lelia Farmer of Blue Ridge, and Patricia Gray of Akron; 21 grandchildren, and 24 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, Sept. 11, at 2 p.m., at the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel, with Rev. Bob Waters and Rev. Robert Flowers officiating. Interment will follow at Copper Ridge Memory Garden, with military honors by North Georgia Honor Guard and Masonic rites by Mineral Bluff Lodge.
