BATESVILLE – Janet Brown Ware, 36, waitress at the Huddle House in Oxford, died of cancer Saturday at her home. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Wells Funeral Home with burial in Forrest Memorial Park. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She leaves two sons, Jerry Ware Jr. and Johnathan Ware; her mother, Tomme McAlister Brown, and a sister, Pam Brown Savage, all of Batesville, and three brothers, Dennis Brown and Jimmy R. Brown Jr., both of Batesville, and Jerry Brown of Alvin, Texas. The family requests that any memorials be sent to the South Panola Community Hospital.

LENA MAE WARE, 61, of Memphis, press cleaner at Carwile’s Custom Cleaners, died of heart failure Tuesday at Delta Medical Center. Services will be at noon Saturday at Lily of the Valley Missionary Baptist Church with burial in New Park Cemetery. Gillespie Funeral Home in Olive Branch, Miss., has charge. She leaves a daughter, Jacqueline Evans, and four sons, Roy L. Curry, Preston Evans Jr., Charleston L. Ware and Melvin L. Ware, all of Memphis; four sisters, Dorothy Ranson and Grace Warren, both of Memphis, and Emma Jean Atkins and Maxine Tribune, both of Shelby, Miss.; two brothers, Wesley Randall of Leavenworth, Kan., and Alexander Walker Jr. of Los Angeles, 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

JAMES A.V. WARE, 75, of Memphis, retired coin teller for Union Planters National Bank, died Monday from complications of a stroke. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Family Funeral Care with burial in Elmwood. He was an Army veteran and received the Purple Heart. Mr. Ware, the husband of Eunice Ware, also leaves a daughter, Eloise Mills of Shreveport, La.; a son, Ed McAllister of Illinois, and a sister, Mary Mueller of Collierville. The family requests that any memorials be sent to a charity of the donor’s choice.

Billy Ray Ware Obituary, 1999

TRION — Billy Ray Ware, of the Welcome Hill Community, died Friday, Sept. 10, 1999, in an area hospital.

He was 64. He was a native of Chattooga County, Ga., and a member of Welcome Hill Baptist Church.

Mr. Ware was retired from Roper Corporation.

Survivors include his brother, Charlie Ware, Trion.

The funeral will be today at 2 p.m. at Mason Funeral Home in Summerville, Ga., with the Rev. Johnny Helms officiating.

Burial will be in Greenhill Memory Gardens.

Lena Ware Faith Obituary, 1999

Lena Ware Faith, 94, of Oak Ridge, died Tuesday, Sept. 21, 1999, at Briarcliff Health Care Center.

Mrs. Faith is survived by her son, Richard Conway Newsome and his wife, Constance Newsome, of Chicago, Ill.; her daughter, June Marie Newsome Estep and her husband, Herschel L. Estep, of Virginia Beach, Va.; her stepdaughter, Carol Faith Byers of Dallas, Texas; and her sister, Lennie Ware Meredith of Roanoke, Va.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 24, in the chapel of Weatherford Mortuary with the Rev. E.C. Vestal Jr. officiating.

The family requests any memorials be in the form of donations to Kern Memorial United Methodist Church, 451 E. Tennessee Ave., Oak Ridge, TN 37830.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday at the mortuary.

Mrs. Ware, the wife of R. D. Ware, also leaves a daughter, Connie Lee, and two sisters, Ruthie Rose and Ruby Coleman, all of Memphis, six grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great-grandchildren.

Annie Felker Ware Obituary, 2000

DALTON — Annie Felker Ware died Monday, Jan. 17, 2000, in an area hospital.

She was 97. She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Ware.

Survivors include a daughter, Helen Gross, Dalton; son, Bill Ware, Dalton; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Peeples Funeral Home with the Rev. Calvin Haney officiating.

Burial will be in Grove Level Cemetery.

Visitation will be today from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
