EUNICE MAE McALISTER WARE, 83, of Memphis, homemaker, died Thursday at Cordova Rehabilitation Center of complications from diabetes. Services will be at 11 a.m. today at Forest Hill Funeral Home South with burial in Forest Hill Cemetery South. She was a former member of Charjean Baptist Church. Mrs. Ware, the widow of Glen McAlister and Jim Ware, leaves two sisters, Lucille Speck of Hernando and Alline Brassfield of New Albany, Miss.; three brothers, Rev. Huey Wood of Olive Branch, and Hulet Wood and James Wood, both of Memphis, two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

James W. Ware Obituary, 2000

JAMES W. WARE, 75, of Memphis, died of pneumonia Sunday at Saint Francis Hospital. Services will be at noon Tuesday at Memorial Park Funeral Home with burial in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Eupora, Miss. He was a World War II Navy veteran, member of Cross Creek Baptist Church, Scottish Rite, a Shriner and a Mason. Mr. Ware, the husband of Mildred Ware, also leaves two sisters, Mary Lyles of Ocean Springs, Miss., and Ella Merle Brown of Mendenhall, Miss. The family requests that memorials be sent to Cross Creek Baptist Church.

Ivan Ware: Man killed when pulled into crane gears

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — A worker for a concrete company was killed when he became entangled in the gears of a crane he was repairing.

Ivan Ware, 37, died Saturday. He was a longtime employee at Metro Ready Mix.

Witnesses say the crane motor was running as Ware worked on it, but Nashville Det. Tom Jones said that apparently was not unusual.

Other workers were unable to free Ware after he became caught in the gears, and he died before rescuers arrived.

DYERSBURG – Martin ‘Horseman’ Ware, 101, horse trainer, died Friday at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Lauderdale in Ripley. RINGGOLD – Dorothy Irene Howard Ware, 81, passed away Sunday, Dec. 26, 2004, at a local hospital.

A lifelong resident of the North Georgia area, she was a member of Mount Vernon Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Odell Ware; and parents, Ed and Rose Quinn Howard.

She is survived by two daughters and son-in-law, Jo Ware of Ringgold, and Linda and Gary Osborn of Chatsworth, Ga.; four sisters, Margaret Cooper of Ringgold, Georgia Mae Clark of Ringgold, Ethel Rule of Harrison and Martha Nell Boyer of Cleveland, Tenn.; four brothers, Buster Howard, John Howard, Roy Howard and Jim Howard, all of Ringgold; several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Mount Vernon Cemetery with the Rev. Junior Bryson officiating.

The family will receive friends 6-9 p.m. today, all day Tuesday and 8 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Wentzel Marcus Ware Obituary, 2006

WENTZEL MARCUS WARE, 74, of Memphis, died at 11 p.m., Friday, May 19, 2006, at St. Francis Hospital after an extended illness. A Korean War veteran with two Purple Heart awards, Ware devoted several years to caring for his wife Kathi, who died in 2003. Various out-of-town relatives remain. Mr. Ware was a strong member of St. Luke’s United Methodist Church, 480 South Highland, where a memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. in the chapel on Tuesday, May 23. Interment will be in West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are encouraged for St. Luke’s United Methodist Church or for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
