Nancy Elizabeth Ware Doolan (1888 -1979)

“Nancy Elizabeth Ware, was probably the most prominent child of the Squire M. Ware family.  She began he collegetraining at the Christian College at Eugene, Oregon in 1911.  After graduation, she was ordained a minister of that denomination and served in pastorates in Lincoln County, Nebraska.  In 1926, she married Ransom Doolan, a carpenter, and some ten years afterwards they moved to Brighton, Colorado where she occupied the pulpit at the Christian Church.  In 1974, the Doolans moved to Fullerton, Orange County, California where she was quite active in establishing the Christian Church at that city.  During her later years at that place she was lovingly referred to as matriarch of the congregation.  She died there at age 92 in 1979.”
