“December ye 22d Anno Dom 1722 Thus Day Jeremiah Ware of Boston Gave Notiss that he hath sold a horse unto Richard Congdon of Woban the horse being of a black Culler branded on the Left shoulder with a figure of Eight: and the said Jeremiah Ware doth promise to Warrant and defend the said Horse unto the said Richard Congson and his assigns against all Claimers Whatsoever.”
