Shelby Ware

“AN ACT to incorporate the Ridge and Jeptha Turnpike Road Company.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky:

1. That Shelby Ware,… be and they are hereby, constituted a board of managers for the purpose of making a turnpike road from the four-mile bridge, on the Shelbyville and Frankfort Turnpike, east of Shelbyville, to the Jeptha ford, near Jessee’s store; thence to Brumley’s shop on the Harrisonville and Bagdad Turnpike; and that they may be enabled to effect said object, the said board is hereby constituted a body-politic and corporate, in deed and law, under the name and style of the Board of Managers of Ridge and Jeptha Turnpike Company…”
