Joseph Edwin Ware (1863 – )

WARE, Joseph Edwin, banking; born Morrison, Ill., May 17, 1863; son of Joseph and Martha Emma (Roy) Ware; educated in high school, Morrison; at Beloit College, Beloit, Wis.. and at Carleton College, Northfield, Minn., graduating 1883; married at Red Wing. Minn., April 28, 1886, to Miss Kate Belle Webster. Engaged as bookkeeper in Commercial Bank. Minneapolis, 1884-85, removing to Clark, S. D., and continued in banking with brother, 1885-88; in insurance and loan business at Minneapolis, 1888-93: organized St. Anthony Falls Bank and became its cashier, 1893. Congregatlonalist. Club: Commercial. Office: St. Anthony Falls Bank, St. Anthony Falls. Residence: 515 9th Av., S. E., Minneapolis.”

  1. Several towns listed here in MN and WI are favorite travel destinations for my family here in Iowa. Also it appears that there have been several Ware family members in the banking business to include Jasper Anderson Ware and many others. Thank you Vicki.
