Will of John Ware

(Note:  This is the fifth great-grandfather of Vicki Ware Cheesman; son of James and Agnes (Todd) Ware; father of William  and Susannah (Payne) Ware.

“Whereas John Ware formerly of Goochland Co., in his will bequeathed to his two grandsons John Ware Mosby and Alfred Daniel Mosby sons of John Mosby an interest in a tract of land lying in Fluvanna County on Rivanna river; said John Wareby his said will as aforesaid did give sd. land to two afd. grand children together with three others to wit; John Ware, Robert Payne Ware, &  Wm. Ware the children of Wm. Ware of Pittsylvania Co. and the grandchildren of said Jon Ware decd. and aforesaid John Mosby considering that he will be promoting the interest of his sons John Ware Mosby and Alfred Daniel Mosby by selling their interest in aforesaid Land, hereby conveys to said Petit (for sum of $1900, 2/5 of said tract of land devised as aforesaid, which is the portion his own two sons are entitled to under the aforesaid will of their Grandfather Ware.
