Coll., M.D., 1852; honorary A.M., Bowdoin, 1889; m. 1st, Portland, Me., Dec. 4. 1852, Elizabeth Ross Ware; 2d, Salem, N. Y., Sept. 23, 1886, Harriet Newell Sprague; children: Elizabeth Ware (b. April 1, 1864), William Peasley (b. May 29, 1870), Dr. Charles E. (b Aug. 24. 1886). Pres. Washington Co. Med. Soc, also of Union Med. Soc. of Bennington, Berkshire, Rensselaer and Washington counties, N. Y. State Med. Soc, Am. Med. Ass’n, N. Y. Medico-Legal Soc; corr. mem. Gynecological Soc. of Boston. For 12 years pres.
