This is an interior township, and is designated by the United States survey as township No. 7 north, of range No. 7 east. It lies directly east of the city of Flint, which includes within its corporate limits the whole of section 18, and portions of sections 6, 7, 17, and 19 of the Congressional township. On the north, east, south, and west are the respective townships of Genesee, Davison, Grand Blane, and Flint.
