“EXAMINATIONS

The general rules for the conduct of examinations for the diplomas of the Association are in charge of the Committee on Statistics and Examinations. The Committee provided for two examinations, the Preliminary for the Ateato pri Lernado and the Advanced for the Atesto pri Kapableco.

The first, requiring a good knowledge of the grammar and ability to read, write and translate easy prose, may be given by Local Examining Boards and Special Examiners, or by correspondence with the Central Examining Board. The registration fee is ten cents, and examination fee $1.25.

The Advanced Examination is given only by correspondence. This requires a very thorough knowledge of grammar and syntax, and ability to write and translate into Esperanto more difficult prose. The papers of this examination, identified by number only, are given one of the three Central Examiners for marking, and his decision is final. The fee for registration is twenty-five cents, the examination fee $2.50.

Up to the date of going to press the following have secured the diplomas of the Esperanto Association of North America:
