Remarks: Practised dentistry for a short time; then turned to literature and the study and practice (in an unprofessional way) of painting. For thirty years and more has resided in Paris or its vicinity.

LOAMMI GOODENOW WARE, b. Aug. 1, 1827, at Boston. Parents: Horatio Gates and Keziah Eames (Goodenow) Ware. Unmarried.

Profession: Studied Divinity in Cambridge; ordained July 26, 1854, in Augusta, Me.; resigned in 1857; for some time assistant of Rev. Dr. E. E. Hale in parish work; then pastor in Burlington, Vt, from Nov. 4, 1863, till his death.

Degrees, etc.: Phi Beta Kappa, Harvard Divinity School, 1853; L.H.D., University of Vermont, 1889.

Offices, etc.: Trustee of Fletcher Free Library and of the Mary Fletcher Hospital, Burlington; trustee of the Park Gallery of Art in University of Vermont.
