REIDSVILLE — Mrs. Margaret Williams Ware, formerly of Reidsville, died on Sunday, January 17, 2010 at her son’s residence in Randleman.

Funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, January 21 at the South English Street Church of Christ, 1417 South English Street, Greensboro. Brother Julius Greene will deliver the eulogy. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park.

Margaret, the daughter of the late Alfred and Etha Revel Williams was born in Clemmons. She was a graduate of Carver High School and The Kate Bitting Reynolds Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in Winston-Salem.

Mrs. Ware began her career as a registered nurse at Annie Penn Hospital in Reidsville, and retired from the hospital as an Assistant Director of Nursing in 1988 after 39 years of service. Among her patients were the Fultz Quadruplets whom she helped to deliver. The Quads were the first recorded set of identical African-American quadruplets born in the world.

She was a faithful member of the South English Street Church of Christ and was also affiliated with the Sunnycrest Church of Christ in Reidsville. Mrs. Ware was also a charter member of the Girl Friends Club of Reidsville.

Margaret was preceded in death by brothers, Ernest and Alfred C. Williams; her sisters, Mary Dulin, Ruby Moyer, and Minnie P. Wilson.

Surviving are her son, Robert E. Ware , Jr. of the home; brothers, Richard L. Williams (Lessie) of Winston-Salem and Willie G. Williams, Sr. of Durham, brother-in-law, Frank W. Dulin of Winston-Salem, and several nieces and nephews.

A family visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 20 at the McLaurin Funeral Home in Reidsville from 3-6 p.m. The family will also receive friends 45 minutes prior to the service at the church on Thursday, and may be contacted at 531 Salem Ridge Drive, Randleman at other times.
