George P. Ware, Obituary, 1902 — 1 Comment

  1. My great grandfather was George P. Ware born in Ohio and raised in Pella, Iowa with his twin brothers. Their father Leicester Ware was born in PA, married Jane Reid, who died and then Angeline McWilliams, both from Ohio. They had a large family, lost three children in Mahomet, Champaign, IL to small pox on the road west to Lake Prairie Twp. Iowa in 1854. We thought Leicester raised horses and sold them at auction. I have never seen him listed as an attorney. We are looking for a death date and place for Leicester. We think it is around 1866-1870. We have no evidence of his death. The Pella court house does not have documents from this time.
