"A. Ware Deeter, 83, of Meyersdale, died May 2, 1980, in
Berlin.
He was born Feb. 18, 1897, in Meyersdale, a son of
the late William H. and Sarah (Ware) Deeter.
He was preceded in death by wife, Mildred Paine in
1978, and these sisters: Effie Seese, Olie Boyer, Bertha
Apple, Caroline Pfeiffer, and Gladys Shultz; also a brother
William (Bunn) Deeter.
He is survived by brother, Warden of Tuscon, Ariz.;
and sister, Miss Ida Deeter of Johnstown. He was a veteran
of World War I, a member of Amity United Church of Christ,
American Legion, V.F.W., Loyal Order of the Moose and the
Elks, all of Meyersdale.
Friends were received at the M. Ray Leckemby Funeral
Home, where services were conducted with the Rev. Lloyd
Sechriest officiating. Interment, Union Cemetery."
