Annie Laurie Ware McCormick

   (ATLANTA, Ga.) Annie Laurie Ware McCormick, 77, of 
Atlanta died Saturday, Nov. 2, 2002.
   Services were Saturday, Nov. 9, at 1 p.m. at Welcome
Friend Baptist Church, Atlanta, with Dr. John H. Smith 
officiating.  Burial was in Kennedy International Memorial 
Garden, Ellenwood, Ga.
   Mrs. McCormick was a native of Roanoke, born April 1,
1925, daughter of the late John Wesley and Leman Ware.
She was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church here, later
joining Welcome Friend Baptist Church in Atlanta where
she served as Sunday school secretary and worked on the 
Usher Board, Willing Workers Club, Baptist Training Union,
Missionary Ministry and the Mothers Board.  She also 
volunteered at Oakhurst Elementary School, where she was
 a counselor.
   Surviving are a daughter, Gloria Range of Decatur, Ga.;
a son, James Wesley McCormick of Decatur; two brothers, 
Grady Ware of Alexander City and Roosevelt Ware of Roanoke;
one sister, Sally Ruth Slay of LaGrange, Ga.; two grandchildren;
four great-grandchildren; two adopted grandchildren; nieces, 
nephews, other relatives and friends.  
She was preceded in death by her husband, James McCormick.
   Arrangements were by Pollard Funeral Home, Atlanta."
