"D.C. Ware Dead.
Saturday of last week word was received from Kansas
City that David C. WARE could not live. Monday a
dispatch was sent to his mother here that he was dying,
and his brother left for there, but before he arrived
the sick man had died. His body was sent here Wednesday
afternoon and Thursday the funeral was conducted
from the Baptist church sermon preached by Rev. Taylor.
David C. Ware was born in Washington 23 years ago, and
has made his home here or about here till last spring
when he went to Kansas City to secure work. On Aug.
13, he fell in an elevator and was quite seriously
hurt, but would have recovered from his injuries had
typhoid fever not set in. For seventeen days before
his death he was unconscious most of the time. His
mother and brother are the only members of the family
left, and they have the sympathy of a large circle of
friends."
