“Glen Chase Ware, 83, of The Woodlands, Texas passed away February 17, 2012. He was born September 1, 1928 in Manhattan, Kansas to the late Glen Chase and Margaret Christian Ware. Glen is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Lucille Ware; daughters Susan Ware and husband Dale McAdam, and Lucy Anne Ware; brother Laurence Ware and wife Loretta; grandchildren Elizabeth, Josephine and Glen McAdam.
Glen attended Oregon State University, received his Bachelors Degree in music from the University of Southern California and Masters Degree in geology from the University of California Los Angeles. He served in the United States Air Force at the end of the Korean War, honorably discharged at the rank of Captain. Glen had a distinguished career with Texaco retiring after 36 years of service. As Exploration Manager at Texaco, Glen traveled all over the world. He was also a classically trained pianist, playing for his friends and family at gatherings from Oregon to Alaska, Iran, South America and China. He was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity, The Explorer’s Club, the American Association of Petroleum Geology, the Pioneer Oil Producers and the Houston Geological Society.
A memorial mass is set for 11:00 A.M., Friday, February 24, 2012 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 7801 Bay Branch Dr., The Woodlands, TX 77382.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests, in memory of Glen, contributions be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital .”
