James Cornelius Aaron, 90, died March 7, 2007
"A native and lifelong resident of Oglethorpe County, he
was a son of the late Winnie Pearl Ware and Jesse James
Aaron, and was preceded in death by his wife, Marjonel
Palmer Aaron and two sons, Dewey Aaron and Gerald Aaron.
Mr. Aaron was a farmer most of his life and a veteran of
the United States Navy. Graveside services will be Friday,
March 9, 2007, at 2:00 PM at Arnoldsville Cemetery with
Rev. Thomas Epps officiating.
Survivors include a son, Lamar (Pam) Aaron, of Arnoldsville;
brothers, Hubert Aaron, of Athens, Milton Aaron, of Lexington,
Glen Aaron, of Wrens, sisters, Ruth Norman, of Greensboro,
Frances Gruenert, of Hayesville, N. C., Faye Barrett of
Atlanta, GA, Margaret Savage, of Macon, GA; seven grand-
children, Robin (Bill) Patton, Audrey (Shane) Guest, Cindy
Carney, Katie Aaron, Patti (Jason) Turner, Roxzanne Richards,
and Jesse Aaron; seven great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 7:00 until
9:00 PM at the funeral home, and may be reached at the
residence of Lamar and Pam Aaron, Arnoldsville.
Lord and Stephens, EAST, is in charge of arrangements."
