"James M. Dollins, 74, Altus, died Wednesday at Jackson
County Memorial Hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the First Assembly
of God with pastor, Richard Ventonis officiating, and
Hilton Crane assisting.
Burial will follow at the Altus City Cemetery under the
direction of Kincannon Funeral Home.
He was born Aug. 1, 1926 in Altus to Elmer A. and Hazel
B. (Scalf) Dollins.
He attended Prairie Hill and Victory schools.
He served about two years in the U.S. Army as a medic.
He married Marie Ware Nov. 4, 1944 in Mangum.
He was a dispatcher with City Concrete for from 1957 until
1977.
He worked three years for Tankawa Refinery and for about six
years for Brown and Son Trucking Company, both at Arnett.
He worked for Texaco in Medicine Lodge, Kan. from 1984 until
his retirement in 1989.
His wife died in April of 1989. He married Jessie Marsha Dec.

In his retirement he enjoyed fishing, camping, baseball, dominoes,
cards and traveling.
He was preceded in death by his parents and first wife, Marie.
Survivors include his wife, Jessie; a daughter and son-in-law,
Nelda and Lonnie Smith, Harmon; two sons, Dewayne and Bill Dollins,
Shawnee; a sister and brother-in-law, Gladys and Delmer New, Altus;
a brother and sister-in-law, O.W. and Barbara Dollins, Altus; six
grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren."
