"Lucy Mae Colley
     Athens
         Lucy Mae Colley, 96, of 147 Strickland St. died 
     Sunday, Oct. 20, 1996.
         A native of Wilkes County, Ms. Colley was a daughter 
     of the late Edd and Rachel Ware. She was a member of New 
     Dorsey Tabernacle Baptist Church.
         Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at New 
     Dorsey Tabernacle Baptist Church with the Rev. H.L. Dotson 
     officiating. Burial will be in East Lawn Memorial Cemetery. 
     The body will be placed in the church at 1 p.m.
         Survivors include a daughter, Elizabeth Marshall, 
     Athens; two sisters, Mary Emma Davis and Roberta Bell,
     both of Washington; six grandchildren; and nine great-
     grandchildren.
         Hurley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements."
