William Boor, Obituary, 1942

"William Boor, aged 64, died on New Year's Day of a heart attack 
at his home in Confluence.  He was born in West End, Bedford County, 
on October 9, 1877, the son of Henry and Amanda Ware Boor.  He was
employed by the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad in the capacity of engineer
for over 40 years.
 He is survived by his wife, Maud Colborn Boor, and by two children, 
Roger, a teacher in the Confluence High School, and Myra Boor Fuller, 
of Wellsville, New York; also by two brothers, John, of East McKeesport, 
and Harry, of Carnegie.  
 He was a member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and of Somerset 
Lodge No. 358, Free and Accepted Masons.
 Funeral services were conducted at the family residence on Saturday 
afternoon, January 3, by Rev. Sherman H. Burson of the Confluence Methodist 
Church, of which Mr. Boor was a member.  Interment was in Somerset County 
Memorial Park with services by members of the Somerset Masonic Lodge.  
Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Charles B. Humbert, 
Confluence mortician."
