“Clarence Alfred Ware, 74, Henderson, was called to rest at 5:45 p.m. Tuesday, April 21, 2009, at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Evansville.
He received his education at Douglass High School in Henderson. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran.
Clarence was a self-employed worker. He was an avid sports fan and loved baseball.
Clarence professed a hope in Christ at an early age and joined Seventh Street Missionary Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Sr. and Mary Francis Reeder Ware; and two brothers, John Ware Jr. and Phillip Ware.
Clarence leaves to mourn the mother of his children, Rose B. Ware of Bowling Green; two daughters, Carlotta Ware of Bowling Green and Deborah Smith and her husband, Duane, of Avenel, N.J.; three sons, Tony Ware and Gregory Ware, both of Bowling Green, and James Quincy Ware and his wife, Kim, of Middletown, Del.; two brothers, Charles Holloway and his wife, Barbara, and Mark Anthony Bowman and his wife, Sissy, all of Henderson; grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a host of nieces and nephews; cousins; a special friend, George Cobb of Henderson; and a dedicated caregiver, Linda Allen of Henderson.
Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Seventh Street Missionary Baptist Church. The Rev. Anthony Brooks will officiate. Burial will be in Fernwood Cemetery.
Friends may call after 10 a.m. Saturday at the church.
Mason Brothers Audubon Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
