“Venetia Ware of the 7000 block of Clayton Drive, a retired attendance officer, died March 26, 1992, in her home.

Mrs. Ware was born in Norfolk. She had retired from the Norfolk public schools after 18 years. She was a member of Oakwood Chapel Disciples of Christ and Tidewater Arms.

Survivors include two daughters, Vandelette Ware and Juaquita Ware, both of Norfolk; three sons, Rodney Drummond of Newport News, Sherrod Ware of Baltimore and Van Ware Jr. of Norfolk; her father, George Drummond of Norfolk; a sister, Charleen Collick of Virginia Beach; a brother, Donnell Drummond of North Carolina; and five grandchildren.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Oakwood Chapel Disciples of Christ by the Rev. Clifton White. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . The family will assemble at the residence. The body will be placed in the church at 11 a.m. Graves Funeral Home is handling arrangements.”
