“Irma Duggins Ware, 94; of New Albany
Funeral services for Irma Duggins Ware, 94, of New Albany, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 10, at Seabrook Dieckmann & Naville Funeral Homes, Market Street Chapel, with burial in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park. She died Sunday, June 7, 2009, at Lincoln Hills of New Albany.
She was the former Irma Toops, a native of Harrison County, retired from K-Mart after 15 years of service and was a longtime member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church where she was the keeper of the cane.
Survivors include two daughters, Helen Collins and Jane Haws and her husband, Dale, of New Albany; a brother, Roy Toops and wife, Connie, of Knoxville, Ill.; three grandchildren, Rick Haws, Lynn Collins and Diane Fischer; four great-grandchildren, Jennifer Gentry, Ben and Hayley Haws and Ashley Fischer; and two great-great-grandchildren, Randy Gentry and Kathleen Bird
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Ware, her parents, Jesse and Ida Toops, four sisters and three brothers.
Visitation at the funeral home will be from 3 to 8 p.m. today.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to The Activities Department of Lincoln Hills or to the Capital Fund of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church.”
