“Funeral services for Wanda Jean Cobb Ware, age 50, will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 11, 1999, at Victory Chapel, Church of God In Christ, with Brother Elder Figures officiating. Interment will be at Clearview Cemetery under the direction of Kirk-Dawson-Dillard Funeral Home.

Ms. Ware was born in Hugo, Okla., to Rachell and James E. Cobb Dec. 23, 1948, and died in the local hospital Saturday, Nov. 6, 1999, following an extended illness.

She moved to Ardmore in 1979 and was a member of the Church of God In Christ.

She is survived by her companion of 20 years, Carol Douglas; a son, Luther Cobb, Fort Hood, Texas; a grandson, Luther Wayne Cobb II; three sisters, Verdie Mae Goldman, Oklahoma City, Rosetta Seamster, Ardmore, and Tometta Dorsey, Lone Grove; a brother, Terry Cobb, Oklahoma City; and 10 stepchildren. A brother, Willie Lee Jones and sister, Ida Mae Washington, preceded her in death.”
