“William James Ware, 86, of Apison, died on Monday, June 22, 2009.

He was born Nov. 13, 1922 to the late Ed and Edith Ware in Apison. He was of the Christian faith and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

He was also preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Christine Ware; son, Harold Lee Ware; several brothers and sisters.

Survivors include his two children and daughter-in-law, Kenneth Ware, of Ringgold, Jim and Vickie Ware, of Apison; several brothers and sisters; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday, June 25, in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Plowman Cemetery in Apison.
