“Ellis Barton Ware, 91, of Bartlett died Friday April 27 at a Bartlett nursing home. Services will be at 2 PM Monday at Goodnight Funeral Home in Bartlett with minister Robert Elliott officiating. Burial will be in Bartlett City Cemetery.

Mr Ware was born in Bartlett to Ellis Allen Ware and La Vina Ellen Ramsey. He was a farmer. He had lived all his life in Bartlett and was a member of the Church of Christ. He served in the US Army Air Corps during World War II. He married Agnes Wiederspahn on Feb 8, 1936. He served on the Bartlett School Board and the Board of Directors of Vintage Bank in Bartlett.

Survivors include his wife of 71 years of Bartlett; one son, William E Ware of Fair Oaks Ranch, Texas; three daughters, Carol E Jean White of Seabrook, Linda J Smith of Holland, and Sara A Harrison of Austin; and 6 grandchildren.”
