“Jim Robert Ware, 86, retired from Long Star Gas Company, fell asleep in Jesus’ arms Monday, March 12, 2007, at his residence. Friends of Mr. Ware may visit him from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 16, at Mount Carmel Baptist Church, 711 Brook St. The Rev. Jack Watson will officiate. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery. He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Luvenia Reed Ware; children, Malcolm B. Ware and wife, Joyce, Eleanor K. Ware Palmer and husband, Jack, Karon J. Ware, and Janice E. Ware; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Hazel Ware and Velma Benson; brother-in-law, William Reed and wife, Georgia; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
