“Joseph B. Ware, 82, of Magee and a retired MS Department of Transportation employee, passed away Saturday, June 12, 2010, at Magee General Hospital in Magee. Visitation was held from 5-9 p.m. on Sunday, June 13, 2010 at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Monday, June 14, at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Magee. Burial followed at Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee handled the arrangements.
Mr. Ware was a member of Beulah Baptist Church. He loved his church, where he was the minister of music for many years. He also served as a deacon and was always willing to help at Beulah. Mr. Ware was also a mason and a 32nd-degree Shriner. He dearly loved his family and friends. Mr. Joe, aka “Dado” by his family, will be truly missed.
Preceded in death by: parents, Jeffie Joe Ware and Ilva Hilton Ware and sister, Lois Ware Maddox.
Survivors include: wife, Johnnie R. Cook Ware; children, Rachel Ware Scheurer (Marvin Henry) of Magee, Jo Marilyn Ware Winterstein (Roddy S.) of Jackson, and Timothy Paul Ware (Janice Thames) of Magee; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Sadie Ware McCarty of Smith County and Sara Ware Anderson of Rankin County.”
