SOUTH ROYALTON – Beatrice Nadine Ware, 94, died May 1, 2000, at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, N.H. She was born Feb. 13 1906, the daughter of Harry L. and Cora (Blake) Bowen. She attended Chelsea schools. On Sept. 9, 1925, she married Wilmer A. “Bill” Ware at the Bowen Homestead in Tunbridge. Mrs. Ware worked on the family farm in Tunbridge and was a caregiver for family and friends. She enjoyed crocheting, embroidering, playing cards and bingo. She was a member of the North Tunbridge Baptist Church, North Tunbridge Ladies Aid, Tunbridge Grange 384 and the Pomona Grange. She was also a member of the First Congregational Church in Royalton and participated in activities at Brightwood in South Royalton. Survivors include a sister, Stella Cook, with whom she lived; five nieces; two nephews. She was predeceased by an infant daughter and two brothers, Geryl Bowen and Lawrence Bowen. A funeral service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in the Tunbridge Congregational Church with the Rev. David Wolfe and the Rev. Warren Gorman officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to First Congregational Church of South Royalton, South Royalton, Vt., 05068. The Boardway and Cilley Funeral Home in Chelsea is in charge of arrangements.
