MARTINSBURG, W.Va. – James Lemual Ware, 53, of Martinsburg, died Thursday, Dec. 26, 2002, at his home. Born Jan. 2, 1949, in Martinsburg, he was the son of the late Ray Dustin Ware Sr. and Nettie Frazier Ware. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Sharon Ware, in 1986. He attended school in Martinsburg. He worked at Canbridge from 1962 to 1976 as a maintenance man. He also was a carpenter’s helper from 1976 to 1981, a maintenance man for Berkeley County from 1981 to 1986, and a finisher from 1986 until his retirement in 1989. He is survived by his wife, K. Terra Ware of Romney, W.Va.; two children and five step-children, Crystal L. Kindle of Hedgesville, W.Va., Catina A. DuBose of Inwood, W.Va., Sandi Smith of Seattle, Barbara L. Stickle of Martinsburg, John L. Wells and Jeffrey L. Wells, both of Denver and Linda S. Foote of Roosevelt, Utah; three sisters, Julia Hedricks of Inwood, Linda Stickle and Mary Otto, both of Martinsburg; two brothers, Johnny Ware of Martinsburg and Ray D. Ware Jr. of Bunker Hill, W.Va.; five grandchildren; 24 step-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be Monday at 1 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, Martinsburg. The Rev. Paul C. Stanley will officiate. Burial will be private.
