John D. Ware (Jack), of Lewiston, passed peacefully surrounded by family and friends Saturday, Sept. 8, 2007, at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Lewiston. Jack was born at home in Southwick Nov. 12, 1939, to Lloyd and Georgine Ware. He grew up in Kendrick and finished high school in Troy. Jack married Frances Byers and they had three children together, then later divorced. His other companions included Darlene Snyder and recently (Little Bit) Sandy Starcher of Juliaetta. Jack was well known for his sense of humor and love for the outdoors, including: fishing, hunting and camping. Jack worked most of his life in the timber industry locally as well as in Alaska. He also did construction work on the side until he retired. Jack was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers. He is survived by two brothers, Lloyd and Robert Ware daughter, Sina Stewart son, James Ware daughter, Sandra Powell 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. At his request no services are planned.
