Terence Patrick “Pat” Ware, 71, of Collegedale, Tenn., fell asleep in the Lord on March 10, 2013, at his home, nearly 10 years after cancer first tried to claim him. He was a gentle soul with a quick wit, a gifted artist and musician, and loving husband and father. Pat exemplified strength, compassion, the joy of simplicity and Christian humility. Pat was a veteran of the Korean War, a fireman and painter. Throughout his life he produced hundreds of drawings and sketches. His last unfinished work was a depiction of Christ’s view as he looked down from the cross upon the crowd. Pat is preceded in death by his father, Terry Ware. Pat is survived by his mother, Jeanne Collins; wife Danielle Ware; sons, Keith (Saundra) Brogan, Terence Ware, Glen (Denise) Brogan and Michael Ware; sister Sharon Mansfield; brothers, Andrew Ware and Robert Ware; and six grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 4:30 p.m. today, March 14, 2013, at the Collegedale Community Church, 4955 Swinyar Drive, Collegedale, with Pastor Jerry Arnold officiating. The family will receive friends at the church today from 3:30 p.m. until the 4:30 p.m. service time.
