George J. Ware Sr., 62, of Route 104 West died Thursday at Lee Memorial Hospital, Fulton, after becoming ill at his home. A native of Palermo, Mr. Ware lived in Hannibal since 1955. He was a truck driver for two years with Barr Transportation in Auburn and previously was employed 10 years with Collins & Simmons Transportation in Wolcott. Mr. Ware also was employed 14 years with Sealright Corp., Fulton. Mr. Ware was a member of Local 317, Teamsters Union. An Army veteran of the Korean War, Mr. Ware was a member of Prior Stock Post 1552, American Legion. Surviving are his wife, the former Barbara J.; two sons, George J. Jr. and Dennis L., both of Hannibal; two brothers, Edward C. of Cicero and William T. of Fulton; a sister, Mary J. Dolbear of Clearwater, Fla.; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Foster Funeral Home, the Rev. Robert R. Hooper officiating. Burial will be in Fairdale Cemetery. Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, 226 Cayuga St. Contributions may be made to the Hannibal Volunteer Fire Department Ambulance Fund.
