Helena M. Ware Obituary, 2007

Helena M. Ware, 73, Greenville, S.C., formerly of West Carthage, died Aug. 3 at Greenville Memorial Hospital. She was a custodian for the Carthage School District and Fort Drum. Born Jan. 3, 1934, in Gouverneur, daughter of Delmar and Fannie Lashbrooks House, she attended Gouverneur schools. She moved to Greenville in 1989. A marriage to Bobby J. Ware ended in divorce. Surviving are two daughters, Bobbi J. Nafziger and Margaret Brown, both of Greenville; a brother and sister-in-law, Harry and Marion House, Carthage; six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Two daughters, Joann W. McLain and Rosemary Ware, and two infant sons, Bobby and Randy, died before her. A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. The body was cremated. Arrangements are with the Cremation Society of Greenville.
