James R. Ware, 70, of 683 county Route 1,Oswego,died Tuesday at home. Born in Scriba, he lived in New Haven most of his life. He was an Army veteran of World War II and the Vietnam War, retiring as a sergeant major. He retired after 19 years at Alcan Aluminum. He was a member of the American Legion, New Haven. Survivors: His wife, the former Gisela Batz; a daughter, Jean Ware Jacobson of Volney; two sisters, Elnoria Buskey of New Haven and Irene Kirk of Mesa, Ariz.; two brothers, Gordon of New Haven and Lloyd of Parish; three grandchildren. Services: 11 a.m. Friday in New Haven United Methodist Church. Spring burial, New Haven Cemetery. No calling hours. Harter Funeral Home, Mexico, has arrangements.
