Ola S. Ware, 80, former clerk/typist, died at 1:20 a.m. Saturday at McAuley Hall, where she had been a resident for seven years. There will be no funeral or calling hours. A private graveside service will be held at the family’s convenience in Fairview Cemetery, Rodman. Arrangements are with the Simpson-Cleveland Funeral Home. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Ginia L. Yaple, Phoenix; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Ellen Sarafen Harris, Watertown, and several nieces and nephews. Born in Watertown on April 6, 1908, a daughter of Raphael B. and Ella E. Thomas Sarafen, she was a graduate of Watertown High School and of the nurses’ training school at the House of the Good Samaritan. She married Edward P. Votra on Nov. 27, 1926, at the Watertown City Hall, with City Judge Joseph A. McConnell officiating. The couple lived in the Syracuse and Watertown areas after their marriage. Mr. Votra, a carpenter by trade, died June 21, 1964, at age 63. She married Harold F. Ware on Oct. 16, 1965, in the chapel of Asbury United Methodist Church, with Rev. Graham R. Hodges officiating. Mr. Ware, a retired Watertown Daily Times linotype operator and proofreader, died Jan. 21, 1975, at age 78. Mrs. Ware was employed as a clerk/typist at Lerman Brothers Wholesale Rug Dealers, Syracuse, for several years before her marriage to Harold Ware. death WARE – At McAuley Hall, June 11, 1988, Ola S.
