Jackie Ray Ware, 63, of Anderson died Nov. 15, 2008, at Freeman West Hospital in Joplin, Mo. He was born Sept. 17, 1945, in Douthaut, Okla., to Clayton and Mittie Stewart Ware. He lived most of his life in Oklahoma moving to Goodman, Mo., in 1984. He recently moved to Anderson. He was an over the road truck driver for Frontier Leasing in Joplin, Mo. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He enjoyed deer hunting. Survivors include his daughter, Shelly Wallain and husband Jon of Anderson; four brothers, Bud Ware of Columbus, Kan., Clell Ware of Cardin, Okla., Charlie Ware of Nixa, Mo., and Jon Ware of Brownsville, Calif.; two sisters, Delores Woods of Taneyville, Mo., and Roberta Myers of Nixa, Mo.; his granddaughter, Isabella Wallain of Anderson. A memorial service will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Walker-Dowd Funeral Home in Anderson. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, c/o the funeral home.
