Freida Mae Ware, 76, of Cannelton, was born September 9, 1938, in Fayette County and left us on December 31, 2014. She was the daughter of the late John William and Eva Marie Lucas Ware. Freida was a loyal and dedicated hard worker having began working at a young age and eventually retiring from Montgomery General Hospital. She was committed to her job in the kitchen of Montgomery General, where she was the president of the union and always was fighting for the employees. She was a volunteer at the food pantry in Falls View. Freida leaves behind a family that loved her dearly. She leaves her son Vernon “Buster” Ware; daughters, Libby (Jeff) and Brenda (Josh); and a sister, Martha (Robert); grandchildren, April (Andrew), Jeffrey, Chad, Andrea (Pat), Shawn (Jennie), Brandon, Michael, and Eli; also niece, Cynthia (Alex); six great-grandchildren; one great-niece; and one great-nephew. Freida will be missed by many and her family wishes to thank Montgomery General Elderly Care and Montgomery General Hospital for comforting her during her last days.
