McINTOSH – Jeannie Mae Ware, a member of Lang’s Chapel AME Zion Church, died Thursday at an area hospital. She was 78. Ware was a native and resident of McIntosh. She was a retired mental health worker for Searcy Hospital. Survivors include five sons, Johnnie L. Ware Jr., Floyd J. Ware and Bobby Ware, all of McIntosh, Cliff Ware of Mt. Vernon and Terry Ware of Montgomery; one stepson, Johnnie James of Mobile; seven daughters, Mary Ferrell, Lora Ward and Rosetta Foster, all of McIntosh, Anna Dees, Mattie Adams and Lynette Davis, all of Mt. Vernon and Glenda Griffin of Dayton, Ohio; 35 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Visitation will be from 5:30 to 8 tonight at Lang’s Chapel AME Zion Church and from 11 a.m. until the noon funeral Tuesday. Burial will be in Vaughn Cemetery. Arrangements are being made by Andrews Funeral Home in Jackson.
