Neil J. Ware, 79, of Yakima died Friday at Good Samaritan Healthcare Center. Mr. Ware was born in Wenatchee. He served in the Navy and Air Force. He lived in the Yakima area since 1973. He worked for Edwards Equipment for more than 25 years as a journeyman machinist. Survivors include his wife, Barbara Ware of Yakima; two daughters, Karen Akers and Laurie Stiles, both of Tacoma; a stepson, Samuel Snyder of Yakima; three sisters, Jean Peppinger of Arlington, Vivian Presley of Sheridan, Ore., and Hazel Countryman of Sultan; a brother, Arthur Ware of Sitka, Alaska; six grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. A private family memorial service will be Saturday. Arrangements are by Valley Hills Funeral Home and Crematory, Yakima.
