J. Nelson Ware Sr. Obituary, 2014

WARE, J. NELSON, SR. – 89, of Lower Bank, Burlington Co. passed away on Tuesday, October 14, 2014. He was born and raised in Green Bank where he met and married the love of his life Evelyn Simpkins. He served his country honorably during WW II as a member of the Merchant Marines.

He worked for his father in the historic sawmill industry of South Jersey. He worked for Arthur R. Henry as a foreman for 34 years. He was a member of Local #172 for over 50 years.

He is predeceased by his wife Evelyn Simpkins Ware; his daughter Lori Ware Workman; his sister Anna Walling. He is survived by his sons, Joseph N. Ware, Jr (Mary) of Trevose, PA and Lewis Ware (Gayle) of Egg Harbor Twp., NJ; his brother Howard Ware of New Gretna, NJ; his grandchildren Shari Samuelsen, Michael (Lisa) Ware, Kristi Ware, and Joey Ware; his great grand children Kayla Samuelsen, Breanna Samuelsen, Zachary Samuelsen, and Tyler Ware; also surviving are sisters in law, brothers in law and many nieces and nephews.

Mr. Ware’s viewing will be 10 am to 12 noon Saturday, October 18, 2014 at Wimberg Funeral Home, 400 Liverpool Ave., Egg Harbor City, NJ (609-965-0357) with a service to begin at 12 noon. Interment will follow at Lower Bank Cemetery.
