Ware Sr., Ronald T. Age 70, of Highland, passed away Monday, September 3, 2012 surrounded by his loving family. Ronald is survived by his wife, Linda (nee Evans); daughter, Kristine (Kent) Kaluf, of Dana Point, CA; son, Ron (Chandra) Ware Jr., of Munster; grandsons, Kyle, Ryan and Brett Ware; sister, Lois; brothers, Bob (Sandy) and Dan (Liz); numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, Ruel and Luella; sisters, Jane, Jenny, Roberta (Birdie); brothers, Artie and Lionel. Funeral services will be held on Thursday September 6, 2012 at 7:30 PM at the Solan Pruzin Funeral Home & Crematory 14 Kennedy Ave (corner of Main and Kennedy) Schererville with Pastor Jim Sparks officiating. Cremation at Solan Pruzin to follow. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday from 3:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home. Ron was a 1960 graduate of Hammond High where he was a State Champion Swimmer. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. Ron was a member and past Officer of Ironworkers Local 395, retiring with 48 years of service. He was the neighborhood “go-to guy”, a charter member of Fitness Pointe, an avid golfer and enjoyed his grandsons sports and school activities. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation in memory of Ron Ware (811 W. Evergreen Ave., Suite 204, Chicago, IL 60642).
