Captain Lionel Ware, Sr. entered into eternal rest on Monday, October 9, 2006. Captain Ware was a 30-year Veteran of the Orleans Parish Criminal Sheriff’s Reserve Department. He was founder and owner of Wes-Tex Trucking Co., which was established over 30 years ago and continues to thrive today. He leaves to cherish his most precious memories his wife Louise J. Ware; 3 sons Lionel, Jr., Louis, LySander; 1 daughter Sherrilynn; 4 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; 4 brothers; 3 sisters and a host of other relatives and friends. He joins in glory his parents James and Frances Ware; 2 brothers and 1 sister.

A celebration of life service will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, October 21, 2006 at First African Baptist Church-Sixth District, 3524 LaSalle St., New Orleans, LA. Visitation will begin at 9:00 am until time of services. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
