Margaret Cadle Ware

Margaret Cadle Ware, 102, died peacefully in her sleep January 5, 2016.

Born and raised in Corbin, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Jefferson and Ethel Cadle. Margaret moved to Newark, DE in 1936, where she raised her two children, the late Richard Tucker Ware and the late Sue Ware Davis. Margaret moved to Orlando, FL in 2006 to be closer to her granddaughter, Valerie and her family, where she lived until her death.

Margaret worked as the secretary to the Director of the University of Delaware Library for 19 years. She was a long-time member of the Newark Country Club where she was the Women’s Club Champion in 1957. Following her retirement in 1979, she was able to concentrate more on her passion for golf, playing bridge, traveling with friends, reading and enjoying her great-grandchildren. Margaret was also a passionate Blue Hens football season ticket holder and an active member of the First Presbyterian Church in both Newark and Orlando.

Margaret is survived by her granddaughter Valerie Sands, and her husband Steven and their sons Brian, Scott and Eric, of Winter Park, FL; grandson Curtis Davis, and his wife Rachel, and their daughters Samantha and Danielle, of Newark, DE; and her sister Nancye Setser of Flagstaff, AZ. She was preceded in death by her brother Marvin Cadle.

Friends may call on Sat., Jan. 30th from 10:30-11 a.m. at the R.T. Foard & Jones Inc., 122 W. Main St., Newark, DE 19711. The funeral will be held immediately after. Burial will be at the Head of Christiana Cemetery following the service.
