
Opal Ware Bonifield, 101, of Warren, a painter and writer, died Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2002, at United Methodist Memorial Home.
The Centerville, S.D., native gave book reviews for various clubs, was a homemaker and past member of Tri Kappa sorority and Chautauqua Club. She was a member of Warren United Methodist Church and past president of United Methodist Womens Society. Surviving are a daughter, Helen M. Baraban of Sun City West, Ariz.; granddaughters Lisa Bell of Fort Collins, Colo., Sarah Mostes of Bloomington and Mary Ann Young of Williams; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Howard M., a son, William D., five brothers and four sisters. Services are 3 p.m. Friday at United Methodist Memorial Home, Warren, with calling one hour before services. Burial will be at Masonic Cemetery, Warren.
