Charles Stone Ware, Sr. 80, of 1907 Lullwater Rd. in Albany died May 3, 2013 in Williamson, GA
The funeral service will be Monday 2 PM at Kimbrell-Stern. Rev. Stephen Pontzer officiating. Interment will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery.
A native of Atlanta, GA, Mr. Ware Graduated from Henry Grady High School and attended Marist College. He has lived in Albany for over 50 years where he was
a member of St. Teresa’s Catholic Church and was retired from Zep Manufacturing Company with 35 years of service. He served in the United States Army and was inducted in the Georgia ASA Hall of Fame in 1990 for outstanding coaching. Mr. Ware was a former member of the Pine Forest Tennis Club and following his retirement he started a local business called “Chucky’s Chow Chow” which was sold in the tri-county area
Mr. Ware will always be remembered for the love he gave to his family and his beloved dogs “Candy” and “Bobby Dobby”.
Mr. Ware was preceded in death by his Parents, Thomas Gourrier Ware and Mary Alyce Wright Ware and his wife, Patricia Hudson Ware.
Survivors include his sons, Charles Stone Ware, Jr. and his wife Christi of Williamson, GA, David Hancock Ware and his wife Cheryl of Warner Robins, GA, daughters, Catherine Marie Ware of Athens, GA, Patricia Ware Felter and her husband David of Vienna, VA, and Martha Ware Johnson and her husband Will of Columbus, GA, twelve grandchildren, sister, Mary Alyce Ware of Atlanta, GA and numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be Sunday at 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Kimbrell-Stern.
