Jerry Pearson Ware Obituary, 2014

REIDSVILLE – Jerry Pearson Ware, 79, of 215 Sheraton Road, passed away surrounded by his loving family Monday, May 12, 2014, at his home.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, May 15, 2014, at Wilkerson Funeral Home with the Rev. Donnie Phillips officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Memory Gardens with military graveside rites. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at the home.
Jerry was born in Rockingham County to the late Stephen H. and Azile Pearson Ware. He served his country in the National Guard and lived as a true patriot with a lifelong respect and honor of the American flag. He retired from Gilbarco with more than 32 years of service. His hobbies included fly fishing, bird watching, wood working and sitting by the fire in the den. He was also a member of the Antique Engine Association for 30 years and the Rockingham County BeeKeeper’s Association for 35 years.
Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brothers, Jean Ware, Nathaniel “Nat” Ware and William “Billy” Ware and his sisters, Peggy Daniel, Molly Ann Ware and Gay Hughes.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret Dickerson Ware of the home; his son, Richard Pearson “Ricky” and Pam Ware; daughters, Cynthia and Mark Cresenzo and Dawnn and Ronald Saul; grandchildren, Will Cresenzo and wife, Latisha, John Cresenzo and Ashley Ware; great-granddaughter, Avery Cresenzo; stepchildren, Mark and Jean Osborne, Tim and Karen Osborne and Teresa Brooks; siblings, twin brother, Jack Ware; sisters, Anita Adcock and Betty Howard and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
