June Ware June 19, 1932 – May 9, 2015 June, the youngest of four daughters born in Lakeport to Herold “Sailor” and Selma Abercrombie, died at home in Las Vegas, on May 9, 2015. June was born in Lakeport and educated in the local schools. She married Richard Elmer Ware on November 22, 1950, in Reno and had three children. June was always competitive at games, from pinochle or gin-rummy to bowling on teams in Lakeport and Las Vegas. She worked at many jobs from walnut picking in Lakeport, to waitress, hostess and blackjack dealer in Reno and Las Vegas. June was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and sister, Maxine. She is survived by sisters, Dixie Germolus of Pleasant Hill, CA, and Jewel Ware of Lakeport; her three children, Douglas Ware of Reno, Karen Lewis and Annette Crowder both of Las Vegas; four grandchildren, Macy, Michael, Phillip and Alex; and three great-grand children.
